European Patent Registration for chaotic mixer design

The chaotic mixer design, developed by academics from Yaşar University and İzmir Kâtip Çelebi University, was registered by the European Patent Office. The chaotic mixer designed to operate at different speeds during mixing thanks to its special programmable software saves more time and energy compared to other mixers.

Developed under the supervision of Prof.   Cüneyt Güzeliş from Yaşar University Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, the project “Chaotic Hand Mixer” was developed as a Scientific Research Project (BAP) supported by the Project Support Office. Along with Cüneyt Güzeliş from Yaşar University, the project team also included Head of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department Assoc. Prof. Seda Genç, Head of Food Processing Department Assoc. Prof. Ruhan Aşkın Uzel, Lecturer (PhD) Gökhan Demirkıran from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, graduate student Tolga Tugay İzmir, and Lecturer (PhD) Savaş Şahin from İzmir Katip Çelebi University’s Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

Developed as a result of the multidisciplinary works jointly executed by multiple institutions, the project was granted the European Patent Registration upon the joint application of Yaşar University Information and Technology Transfer Office and İzmir Katip Çelebi University Technology Transfer Office.
