The 100% domestic virtual reality game

Developing the software and graphics of the game by himself, Yaşar University’s graphic design student Hakan Yayman designed his own virtual reality game. Noting that it has been a great opportunity that smart phones have been turned into a medium for virtual reality, Yayman added that he plans to release the game to the market after improving it.

“This project is my graduation project. Virtual reality is quite a new field. In Turkey, there are a handful of people working in this field. Thus, I wanted to take advantage of the situation. I planned to create an application and a game which runs on virtual reality infrastructure, and I have created a virtual reality game –AlienBase– which encompasses strategy and war components. The software base and graphics have all been created by me,” said Hakan Yayman stating that the game passed the testing phase successfully.

Advised by Assist. Prof. Dr. İsmail Okay, the creator of the game Yayman said that he wants to develop new projects and contribute to the future technology and added: “I have been working to further improve the software base and graphics of my game ‘AlienBase’ in order to release it to the market. I have also started to develop new projects in this field. Additionally, I have been seeking support from investors as the field is costly.”
