Yaşar Üniversitesi ile Çin’in Suzhou Üniversitesi arasında öğrenci değişim programı anlaşması imzalandı. İlk kez geçen yıl Yaşar Üniversitesi tarafından düzenlenen Uluslararası Müzik Günleri’ne destek veren Suzhou Üniversitesi, müzikle başlayan işbirliği ağını öğrenciler için de genişletti.
Mühendislik, teknoloji, doğa bilimleri ve sanat alanındaki çalışmalarıyla ön planda olan Suzhou Üniversitesi’nin temsilcileri, Yaşar Üniversitesi Rektörü Prof. Dr. Cemali Dinçer ile bir araya geldi. Selçuk Yaşar Kampüsü’nde gerçekleştirilen öğrenci değişim programı imza törenine Çin Başkonsolos Vekili Ni Xiaojing de katıldı. Törende bilgi veren Suzhou Üniversitesi Rektör Yardımcısı Huang Yong, “Üniversitemiz, Suzhou Institute of Urban Construction and Environmental Protection ve Suzhou Railway Teachers College’ın 2001 yılında birleşmesiyle kuruldu. Mühendislik, teknoloji, doğa bilimleri ve sanat alanlarıyla ön planda olan üniversitemiz uluslararası eğitim ağını geliştirmek için dünyanın çeşitli üniversiteleri ile aktif olarak akademik değişim ve araştırma alanlarında işbirliği gerçekleştirmektedir. Yaşar Üniversitesi ile imzaladığımız öğrenci değişim programının yanı sıra mutabakat sözleşmesi ile de önümüzdeki süreçte çift diploma imkanı üzerine adımlar atılmış oldu. Böylece öğrencilere iki diploma alabilmeleri için bir imkan sunulacak” dedi.
Kurulduğu günden bu yana İzmir’in uluslararası üniversitesi olma hedefiyle ilerlediklerini belirten Yaşar Üniversitesi Rektörü Prof. Dr. Cemali Dinçer, “Yaşar Üniversitesinin 2020 stratejik planlarında da yer alan uluslararasılaşma kavramı tüm dünyada yüksek öğretimin temel bir unsuru haline geldi. Suzhou Üniversitesi ile geçen yıl başlayan kültürel ve sanatsal alandaki işbirliğimizin de bu hedefler doğrultusunda bilimsel işbirliğine de dönüşmesi mutluluk verici.” diye konuştu.
DUAL DEGREES FEASIBLE TO BE EARNED
Known for its studies in the fields of engineering, technology, natural sciences and art, representatives from Suzhou University met with Yaşar University’s Rector Prof. Dr. Cemali Dinçer. Ni Xiaojing, Vice Consul General of the People’s Republic of China, also attended the signing ceremony of the student exchange program that was held on the Selçuk Yaşar Campus. To inform the attendees of the ceremony about their university, the Vice Rector of Suzhou University Huang Yong said, “Our university was founded in 2001 following the merger of Suzhou Institute of Urban Construction and Environmental Protection, and Suzhou Railway Teachers College. Focusing on the fields of engineering, technology, natural sciences and art, our university has been actively getting involved in joint academic undertakings, including exchange and research programs, together with various universities from around the world so as to expand its international education network. In addition to the student exchange program agreement signed between our university and Yaşar University, we have also taken the steps required to initiate the upcoming dual degree program, and signed a memorandum of understanding. This will allow our students to get two separate diplomas.”
İZMİR’S INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY
“Internationalization, which is one of the components of Yaşar University’s strategic plans for 2020, has become a fundamental element of the global higher education as well. We are happy to see that our collaboration with Suzhou University, which started out in the cultural and artistic field last year, has now turned into a scientific one intended to realize our goals,” said Yaşar University’s Rector Prof. Dr. Cemali Dinçer, who also noted that Yaşar University has been proceeding towards being the international university of İzmir since the day it was founded.
